Hudson Falls is the largest village in Washington County originally known as Sandy Hill, but the name was changed in 1910 to its present name.  The business of the town was that of large mills, logging industries, lime production and manufacturing.  Since then, the industries and mills have moved out of state.  Still the community remains unique, boasting a rich history, scenic beauty and always friendly citizens.  These elements combined to make it a great place to live, work, raise a family or just visit.

The town was the scene of many adventures during the French War, and the settlement was entirely broken up during the Revolution.  Traces of a road cut by General Borgoyne's army are still visible.  Kingsbury and Hudson Falls in 1780 were park of history known as the "Year of the Great Burning."  Following the "Great Burn" only three homes remained standing in Kingsbury those being of Loyalist soldiers.  These three homes still stand today.
